Kahn (based in Bristol, known as Joseph McGann to people who actually know him) first came to my attention last year when he released the brilliant Like We Used To on the very very reliable Punch Drunk:
These three tracks represent Kahn’s take on garage: references to the classic sound but very much existing in the post-Zomby/Burial firmament. He’s also released music that is closer to dubstep and grime, but it’s the slinky garage cuts that do it for me.
